Submission Guidelines
Please follow our guidelines carefully. This will insure prompt consideration of your artwork and will allow us to showcase it in the highest quality possible. Note: Our servers will only support file uploads of up to 25mb in size for each upload.
We reserve the right to reject any submission that does not follow the technical-specification guidelines as defined below.
Submission
The American Icon Art Competition judges will evaluate your submission partly based upon the quality of the digital files that you send us. You must send these files at the time you complete the submission process.
Photography
Number of images submitted: 1-3 (see submission form for fees)
File format: JPEG
JPEG quality setting: 80
Image dimensions: 1500 pixels for the longest dimension (short dimension can be whatever is determined by the crop and aspect ratio of the image)
Resolution of the image is irrelevant. We only need to be concerned with the above specification for dimension as expressed in pixels.
Color profile: sRGB
File name: Each image file name should be exactly how you want the title to appear on the site plus the addition of your initials for identification. The title should be all lower-case characters with underscores separating each word. For example, an image with title, My Favorite Painting, should have the file name: my_favorite_painting_abc. In this example “abc” would be replaced by your initials.
